I am not an expert on pressure sores, but I think you need to treat this situation very seriously. You might need to stay off the area completely for a while, and make sure you are turned frequently (e.g. every two hours). Do you have a good mattress?
I had a stage 4 wound , which was at one point about the size of a baseball, and took over year to heal. We used Calmoseptine Lotion to finally heal the last stages, and to keep the wound from opening again. I highly recommend the stuff. It is available over-the-counter, from CVS pharmacy, but sometimes they need to special order it. Please take care of yourself.
