Wow, all this specific talk about wound care makes me wonder. I have a pressure
sore on my heal that has been off and on (mostly on) for about 5 yrs. It always
dries up after salt water soaking but doesn't completely go away. What does one
do after it dries to a scab? I just try to keep pressure off but is there
another way to speed it up?

I use Thermazene Silver Sulfadiazine Cream 1% with a gauze patch over it in the
morning when I get up and put cream again when I go to bed with no patch. Try
to stay off it as much as possible while you have the pressure sore. This seems
to work everytime for me after I get a sore. It takes about 3 weeks to get it
cleared up. I do 14 hours a day on average in my chair. When I get a soar from
a wrinkle or whatever I go down to 10 hours a day. Also I don't stay on my back
all night, I get turned on my side about 4 hours into the night. I hope this
info. helps.

Take care,

Subject: [QUAD-L] Wound Care

Got a pressure sore the size of a quarter on my ass. My pharmacy informed me
that Regranex is not be manufactured anymore, And I have $100 co-pay for it.
I'm using Hydrogel, but the wound needs something more effective before it
starts Tunneling.

Any suggestions? I heard natural bee honey works, anyone have experience with
it?

Me Bum is causing lousy spasms.

Thanks.
