That's the way the procedure used to be performed down here in Tampa back in 1998. Now, however, you go in and on the first night they gave you the mag citrate (although I have had some doctors hold this). The second day you drink the gallon solution of Golightly (spelling) and on the third day you drink one more gallon of Golightly. The fourth day is the day you do the procedure and you go home on the fifth day. I have been told by doctors that you can go into A.D. because of the gas, so they keep you around to make sure nothing happens.
I just had a surgery in May to put in a urostomy and it required me to clear my bowels because they were going to use a portion of my intestine. It was that bad and even a little worse. I would've asked them to do the colonoscopy, but they had just done one the year before.
