Hiya Rose. Much depends on the type of wound and stage of wound. We were
fortunate to have a few RN with certification in wound therapy. They
would change to wound wrap, twice a day and pack the wound. Sometimes, they
would do it once a day, depending on Doctor's Orders. Pictures of the wound
were sent via the internet daily and smart phones. Lastly when it came time
for the wound vac the nurses were trained on the use and care of the
equipment. The wound Doctor was responsible for the debreeding of the wound
of
dead tissue.

I hope this helps.
Best Wishes

Hi, I have a pressure sore that my husband changes the dressing twice
daily. The wound ceter says keep it dry and keep off it. Any other ideas? Rose
