With the DME/Provider Industry, it began with the powered wheelchair/scooter and 7-8 years ago, Oxygen became the item to sell when wheelchairs were slow, as CMS also paid for that equipment. I remember about 2-3 years ago, I remember reading that CMS was expanding their payment schedule to include back and knee braces. Maybe CMS should stop paying for equipment.
