I finally got a bedsore, well I'm sure it's from sitting in my wheelchair.
That is bad enough that I have to stay in bed.
I have an overlay mattress but it's a very cheap one. It has bubbles on it
that rotate air. The sores is on my left butt. So I'm only on my right
side, I'm still getting moved around a little every few hours.
I found a cushion online that rotates air. But they want $3500. And they
don't take insurance. So you have to pay for it and hope your insurance will
reimburse you.
Even if my insurance covered it I would still have to pay 20%. But if it
worked well I would be willing to cover $700. But it better last for years.
This is the worst sore I have had on my butt. who knows how long I will
have to stay in bed.
I'm going to look into one of those sand beds. But if I remember you can't
put your head up. You just have to lay flat all the time.
I read there was a study with people putting sugar directly on their
wounds. That just doesn't sound safe, but I think I will ask my doctor about
it.
first my sore did not look that bad, but after the doctor scraped away the
dead stuff he found tunneling.
Since I have to stay in bed so long anyway I'm also going to ask the
doctor about flap surgery. How bad does it have to be before they do that?

All I had in my bedroom was a small TV. So I put my big screen in my room.
But the screen is so warm it adds 5° to the temperature of my room.
My room is always hot anyway, it's at the back of the house and it's over
100 outside. The house thermostat is set at 74 and my room is 81.
So even though I'm warm my arms are freezing from the AC blowing on them.
At least I can watch a lot of movies. I can plug my computer into the TV.
I'm surprised how much stuff there is online you can watch.
Not just Netflix, but YouTube has a lot of old shows on there. I like to
watch classic cartoons, and classic old movie serials. Like Dick Tracy, the
Phantom, Cmdr. Cody, etc. the ones that have like 15 episodes that have a
cliffhanger each week. I also like old samurai movies, like the blind
swordsman series , seven samurai.
My favorite channel is Turner classic movies.I just record them so I can
watch when I want.

I'm still learning Dragon so please excuse my mistakes.
