      No, I have never had them but I can only imagine that once the rod is 
removed you will definitely have major balance issues. Think about it (You 
probably already have) you've body has been depending on them for 30 years. 
Once it's out your body is going to be using mussels you haven't needed to. 
Your going to have to learn how to balance all over again. You most likely will 
need quite a bit of PT.
