Harrington Rods?? I haven't heard that term in over 20 years. Harrington
Rods are made of surgical stainless steel. The reason they are used to
protect the spine from curvature and support the back. Removing them for
medical reasons is something between the Doctor and their Patient. When in
doubt, get a second opinion from another Doctor.
Best Wishes

Rose,
No, I have never had them but I can only imagine that once the rod
is removed you will definitely have major balance issues. Think about it
(You probably already have) you've body has been depending on them for 30
years. Once it's out your body is going to be using mussels you haven't needed
to. Your going to have to learn how to balance all over again. You most
likely will need quite a bit of PT.
