Well Liz after you buy the handcycle it comes with 4 clamps that mount on your existing manual chair. After you put the clamps on the chair they always stay on, then the handcycle is attached and detached using these 4 clamps. After I figured out the best way to position my chair and the handcycle for attachment it takes me about three minutes to attach the handcycle. I also bought a set of c5 grips because my grip is weak. They takeme another 3 minutes or so to get on and are very effective. Its just a great entry level handcycle for getting in better shape and rolling around the area.
