The pressure sore I have right now is from my wheelchair not my bed. At the moment I'm using a Clinitron bed. My regular bed has an overlay mattress, an alternating pressure mattress. But I'm not sure how good it is. It has little bubbles all over it. And the bubbles rotate pressure. But the bubbles are not real big and they are not very deep. Even though my sore is from my wheelchair, when it is finally healed up and I go back to my regular bed I don't want my bed to cause any problems. So I was thinking about getting a better alternating pressure mattress. Obviously I'd like to not have to spend a lot of money. The one I have now was only like $120 and it has worked for years. I see one like it listed for like $75. But I think they are alternating pressure but not low air loss. Looking on Amazon there are very many. From 4 to 8 inches thick.
The one I was thinking about is this one.
what do you think? I know they can make it harder to get dressed and things like that. 8 inches might be too thick. It just looks the most durable.
