Incumbents are voted in at something like 85 to 95% of the time. Everyone claims to hate these politicians yet they always put them back in. I guess it's they hate everyone except their own. We need a campaign to vote everyone out. I don't understand why so many people are against term limits. It only leads to corruption, life long politicians who don't know what it's like to have a real job. When you can run for two offices at the same time, it just doesn't seem right. If your a Congressman who wants to become a senator you should not be able to hedge your bets and rerun as a congressman at the same time. if the congressman wants to run as a senator they should either wait until the term is up or resign.
When there's no term limits the politician cares more about getting reelected and what he needs to do to raise money, then what's really best for the country. it is all just such a show. When you watch C-SPAN and see a politician given a speech and there's no one in the audience. And they're speaking like it's a room full of politicians that they're trying to convince. Until there's a sweeping change it's just going to be the same old stuff. I admit I'm a liberal, but I do at least realize both sides do the same thing. Greg
