1. How did you get there? Life flight to Piedmont hospital, stabilized then
moved next door to Shepherd Center.
2. Was family there with you? Father, mother, brother
3. How long were you in the hospital? 10/89 - 2/90
4. How long were you in Rehab - same
5. When you went home, were there minor or major conversions necessary?
Finished basement off, added bedroom, rollin shower, stair lift, bought van
with lift, built ramp in garage
6. Did you go straight home or a nursing home first? straight home and back
to senior year high school
7. What was your home waiting for you doable medical equipment wise?
8. How many of your "friends" were there to be by your side? 2, ironically
my 'best friends' were not around
9. How many siblings do you have to help you out when you first got home? 1
brother but he did not help
10. Did you feel you had enough rehab or did you go on to outpatient rehab?
I felt like it was sufficient but continued at Emory and then moved out
west for 6/hr day intensive, but by four years post i was working and not
rehabbing any longer.
