HI  Ron, did you twist or hit your knee on anything? I have lots of swelling in
my feet at times and it helps me to elevate my feet when swelling gets bad, but
as far as knee area-i'm not sure about that....do you have an indwelling
catheter that will catch clots?? I have a greenfield,an umbrella type put in my
groin area years ago when i 1st got paralyzed. (another idea is that some quads
get calcium or bone build up deposits in various parts of the body that can
cause irritation ) Dan H.**

Ron,

I would get this checked out absolutely ASAP. The symptoms you described, i.e.
swollen, touching causes a spasm, hot to touch, are all classic symptoms of a
blood clot. And as you may already know, a blood clot that breaks loose and
travels through your bloodstream can be extremely dangerous. It's better to be
safe than sorry, no matter what your family thinks.

Best of luck and let us know how things work out.
