Yes, I rarely get AD but am having hiney problems – blood pressure spiked Saturday and now just rolling to take jeans off (ANY LITTLE STIMULI) is causing a headache. I did this about 8 months ago after AD from cath being clogged (couldn’t even take shoes off without getting a headache). I read today that the 7-10 days after AD there is predisposition to have an easily excited autonomic nervous system.

It is a warning that something is not 100% right with your body. Sometimes it can just go away but if it continues you and caregiver or Doc. must try to find out what is going on.1st check that urine or catheter is not blocked and bowels are going ok, UTI's can cause it also....or bladder stones. Also check for pressure sores or other problems such as ingrown toenail or etc. good luck....let us know if you get better or find out what is going on. When my caregiver put me in bed last night I got a pounding headache. Went ahead and took Clonidine. Took a lortab about an hour before I got up this morning. As soon as we rolled me to get the sling under me I got a pounding headache. Blood pressure was 110/78 which shouldn’t cause a pounding headache. Happened several more times but they subsided quickly. I took a Clonidine and have been fine since I got in my chair. I hate trying to figure out what is going on! Sometimes, actually it's been a lot more recently, I start out with high blood pressure while I'm in bed. Then when I get into the chair it bottoms out. It depends on how much time I have, but I usually drinking Mountain Dew after eating my meal and that will bring up my blood pressure for short amount of time until I can start getting use to it once again. My doctor has prescribed midadrine spelling. The doctor has been quite concerned with how far my BP is well I'm in bed. Sometimes it's registering 170/100. Usually if I eat something light or medium, it comes down fairly quickly. We thought we had it under control, but the last four days it's been pretty hard once again. When I bought out it's usually 70 something over 40, but whenever I'm functioning normally it's around 90/50. I should say that's why in the chair. I’m not sure if there is there is medication to help with low blood pressure. My blood pressure is always extremely low, what do you take for that? Meredith From: "nichole rohling" <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Monday, February 3, 2014 2:30:04 PM Subject: [QUAD-L] Procrastination Now I know why I have put off going to see a colorectal doctor. What a pain in the ass! ALL PUN INTENDED! They can’t tell me if their rooms are big enough for my lift to do a transfer but I’m welcome to send someone by to measure and look to see. I live 70 miles away. I was hoping pictures of my rear hanging out would suffice on the 1st visit but they said no, they would have to do an exam (and my butt barely fits on a procedure table at the gynecologist’s office)……….. I’m thinking a trip to the ER at the hospital where they do surgery sounds like less hassle……. and I imagine if my blood pressure is anything like this morning 154/135 that’s reason enough to go to the ER (then again they may treat my blood pressure and tell me to follow up with the doctor about what’s causing it) This is why I’ve put it off for so long……..it’s not an easy task! Bowel program was this morning which made it worse……..and I’m finally coughing up crud from upper respiratory infection which apparently is causing my butt pain because I get a pounding headache when I lean forward and cough. I finally took a lortab and think I will take 1 in the morning about an hour before I get up to shower(hopefully it will block the pain and help me not to get dysreflexic). Curse words J Also, I have a prescription for Clonidine for when my blood pressure gets high but I’m scared to take it because I’m afraid it’ll make it bottom out……..my norm is 90/60. Anyone else use this for bouts of AD? Any and all suggestions please. Nicki c5/6
