At the risk of sounding like "Cliff Claven" the barstool mailman from cheers, the active ingredient in magic bullets is Bisacodyl, which works by acting on nerve endings of the walls of the bowel which causes the bowel muscle to contract in a wave-like action called peristalsis that moves stool along and out of the bowel.
There are other suppositories that use Bisacodyl, the difference in the Magic Bullet is the carrier that delivers Bisacodyl--it uses a Polyethylene Glycol base (suppository coating) which is water-soluble and enables the moisture in the bowel to break down the Polyethylene Glycol quicker thus enabling the Bisacodyl to work faster than suppositories like Ducolax suppositories which are coated with a vegetable oil base which take body heat to melt and dissolve--this takes longer.
