That is absolutely true, correct and ...... a fact, Don. Baclopfen/
Loraseal, are consider maintenance drugs and take time to build up a residual
and one must maintain a certain level to be effective. Quitting "cold
turkey" is not healthy for the body.

I was told 80mg/day was about maximum before going to the intrathecal, or
pump, method. No matter what amount you're taking, never quit Baclofen cold
turkey. Abruptly stopping Baclofen use can be fatal. Consult with your doc.

When a patient (a real person) is required to have more that 100 mg per 24
hours for spasms, a pump might be considered as it uses a fractional amount
of Baclofen and is applied directly to the lesion rather than passing thru
the body and finally the liver and kidney.

There was a time when 100 mg in a 24 hour period was the very maximum.
The reason was the long term affect on the kidney. That is one reason those
taking large amounts of this drug and its cousin Loraseal, take scans every
couple of years......

My spasms are increasing and I'm unsure why because it doesnt look/feel
like I've got a UTI and I haent dysreflexed in a while. I can only assume my
Baclofen needs to be upped... Right now I'm taking 10@9AM, 10MG@4PM and
10MG@10PM.

I plan to ask my doctor this week but I'm curious how much those of you
that take Baclofen take?
