I would seriously consider the 5 year rule and proceed from there. If
you think you need a new chair, ask your primary doctor for an evaluation
order, by a licensed Occupational Therapist. You will get a copy, your Doctor
gets a copy and the OT keeps a copy. Your Doctor then orders a new
electric powered (WPD) from a list of qualified suppliers issued from your
State's Medicare/Medicaid List of competitive bidders that have been approved.

You give they a copy of your evaluation and let them do the rest..... but
keep an eye on them. Don't sign for a brand new chair until you are
satisfied completely.

Best Wishes.

Hi guys.
I recently was looking for a brand new electric wheelchair. since mine is
years old now.
I looked up my wheelchair place where i always been getting them from and
they told me they no longer accept medicaid because of budget cuts.

I want to know what i should do next.
I know they cant possibly deny a quad a wheelchair. What do you guys do?
thank you and keep on rolling.
