Have you considered contacting Jay and ask if they are looking for a very
qualified cushion tester?

I came in from my handcycle trip last night and was rolling around the
house when I looked at my hand and it was covered with this nasty yellow
stuff. I looked at the front of my cushion and at the bottom below the cover
was
a massive amount of yellow crap. I jumped in bed with my new cushion and a
trash can and pulled the cover off the old cushion which had a hole in the
front and threw all the nastiness away then had to use rubbing alcohol to
clean the stuff off my seat sling. This was the second Jay 2 to do this to
me. The last one popped when a girl sat on my lap. I get about 4 yrs out of
each one then boom. The stuff that comes out is oil based and very hard to
get off of your stuff. I was home alone but managed to get the old one off
and cleaned, and the new one on. I also had to add my 1 inch wedge
adductors to each side of the new cushion to keep my long legs from bowing. I
cant
stand paralyzed people that let their legs bow or fall to one side. It
looks terrible and its fixable. A new Jay 2 is going to cost me over 400 and
an
extra air exchange cover will be 65. Crazy but that's how she goes in the
handicap world. I need to put a new seat sling on the chair but that's hard
to do yourself and if you fail you have no chair, lol.
