I just wanted to pass on that in my apartment I put 3 kick plate's to keep my place clean around the areas where my foot pedals scrape against the most. I also put metal corner guards for the same reason. These plates are most common on the front or back doors of house and can be bought in and the big box stores that sell home improvement projects.
