I owned one van with a chain driven, aftermarket sliding door. It was a 2000 GMC safari. That van used a power window motor to drive a chain that moved the sliding door. I cross referenced the motor to a motor sold at advanced auto then entered that number on ebay. Cost me 25.00 shipped for a new motor. Every two years I just switched motors. the only other thing that went wrong with the door was adjustments on the chain, it would get loose. The thieves wanted 400.00 for a used motor. Ive never owned a dodge yet, so I don't know exactly the trick on that van. The other two vans I have owned had the barn doors with two power window motors. I do know that in like 05 Dodge started putting a power door as a factory option.
