I think it’s because we cannot scratch our heads!

I'm curious: do you think we're more susceptible to scalp itch because of our
sci/quadriplegia for some reason? Or are we just having typical ailments that
go along with "aging?" After all, Selsun Blue has been around a while--they
must be making money.

I can't think of many reasons our quadriplegia would contribute to scalp itch,
except:

1. we wear hats more?

2. we lay in bed more and move less?

3. we shower or wash our hair less?

Further investigation needs to be conducted. :)

Don.

My head itches so bad some days, it hurts.
Sometimes it's jus sun burns, I'm in the sun a lot.
But other times it's dry skin. I've tried all those shampoos, but none even
helped a bit. I went to my doc about it. He said to lightly scrape your scalp
with a plastic comb, then run Crisco Oil on my scalp over night. Then wash real
good and scrape with comb again. \
It's not perfect, but it did help a lot. I have to lay a towel over my lap
because so much dry skin falls off while I'm scraping my scalp. It's like it's
snowing.
I also have to wash my hair at least twice a week or it gets bad. I try and go
once a week when it's cold out, but it starts itching again.
