Shirley, it stinks to the high heaven! I had the very same problem with my van lift last fall. Discontinued! Obsolete! I finally got a church friend with a schematic and he fixed it. It was a $2.50 relay under the hood. Made me want to say many bad words. I got the relay at O'Reilly auto parts. Good luck and God bless. I'll wager it can be fixed. If the problem lies in a circuit board in the control, several online shops can fix it. I'll send you the one I use.
