Robitussin is good, but you could also take Mucinex which of the same thing
but in pill form. Make sure you drink a lot of fluids in order to get the
secretions out as quickly as you can.

It's best to get into a Trendelenburg position and hang in there position
for quite a while. Using the quad cough is essential once the secretions
have moved to the upper part of the lung.  I often use a large vibrator on
my side as I lie in the Trendelenburg position. This facilitates the
secretions coming up and if I am not able to get it out by myself then I
have someone help me with Quad coughing. Make sure you get the secretions
out or you could develop pneumonia. Sitting up is essential once you're
free of secretions. Getting up in your chair as much as possible is also
important.
