How does anyone get approval for home health aid care? My husband is a totally dependent quadriplegic and his insurance does not cover any home health. The only way we can get it in Arizona is if he is eligible for AHCCS which we are not because our income exceeds the minimum and same with Medi-cal in California. Does anyone know a way to get paid home health if you are not on state insurance?

This year they gave me 36.5 hours per week. I asked the caseworker where the 0.5 hours come from, she told me it's determined by some kind of computer algorithm.
