I'm not a guy J, but as a C4 complete I have no upper body control. Until I
got my Jay back, I constantly slid back and forth and had no way of keeping
myself upright. We modified all of my clothes and connected a soft seat belt
like strap to my wheelchair. We cut slits in the seams under the armpits,
just long enough to slide the strap through. We found that Velcro was the
easiest option to connect to. Because my arms hang down it is virtually
impossible to see the slit. It Made an enormous difference in my control.
Perhaps this would work for you.

Joan

It also is very cheap to do.

Subject: [QUAD-L] Adaptive dress cothing for men

I'm getting tired of T shirts and stretch pants. I have a chest strap which
helps hold me upright in my chair (along with lateral supports). In order to
hide it, I have a modified sweatshirt (split down the back) which hides the
strap, but I'm looking for some more dressy options. Do you know of a source
of adaptive clothing which can hide a chest strap?

Thanks,

Dave Krehbiel
