Larry I think you qualify for Medicare now since you are disabled. Do you 
receive Social Security Disability? I believe one would be primary and one 
would be secondary insurance, just not sure which but your local social 
security office should be able to help.

I have insurance through the Ky teachers retirement system. It leaves much to 
be desired. It converts to Medicare in two years when I turn 65. My question is 
can I be declared disabled and get Medicare now? I inquired about home health 
making a daily visit to dress my wounds. The cost was $750 up front and a 30% 
co-pay. I can't do that....at all. What do youse guys think? Btw, wife Melissa 
has heart cath in the morning and is scheduled for defibrillator on Monday if 
cath goes well. Prayers. Thanks.
