I found a replacement Invacare seat for 95.00 plus shipping.Its a u shaped deal
but only like 16 deep. I guess I could mount it a little forward to accomadate
it being short. I like the cutout towards the back of chair for easier
transfers.Or I could just take my existing cushion off the guardian chair and
have my dad wrap it with grey nogahide and staple it on the bottom side of
cushion to hold it. Hard to know what a person should do, but it has to work.

Ron, I'm on my 2nd Guardian shower chair now....I got my 1st when I came home
from rehab, then had to buy my 2nd one out of pocket from EBAY, They are Okay
but seem to hold and leak some water from under the arm rests i think. I know
you had that seat coated or fixed some years ago but don;t know if any place
does that today, you can order replacement seats but i think most are just
standard sizes. Good Luck, let us know what you end up going with. Dan H**

I could be mistaken, but I thought Guardian was acquired by Invacare. Call
Invacare Customer Service and ask if the cushion is available as a part. Best

Im in a search for a rolling shower/commode chair I found one called a
Ezeelife aluminum shower chair. Im probally going with the 20 inch model with
the 24 inch rear wheels for user mobility. Its blue and has a rigid plastic
back approx. 18 inches high. Im a tall guy 6'2 so I really need a long seat,
but the 17 inches might have to do. The price is running about 495.00 plus
95.00 for the 24 inch rear wheels from Medical products Unlimited. The chair I
have used for 15 years was a stainless steel Guardian with a custom seat that
was 18 inches wide by 20 inches deep. I was lucky to get that custom seat at
the time. Does anyone have any shower chair suggestions or anything to add? I
might call my case manager and see if she can call a place called adaptability
and let me roll in there and see what old ones they could cobble up for me. It
sucks when your shower chair springs a leak, lol.
