I chimed in on the Me Before You debate- to try to help frame the issues for people who might not understand why this movie is tough and how damaging it can be because of how it impacts public consciousness about disability- Will was rich, had a supportive family, the love of his life, nurses and caregivers and he still wanted to die -- what motivates people to pay attention to the issues that make it disproportionately harder to live with a disability (healthcare, access to education and employment, accessibility), if the example is someone who had it all and it wasn't enough?
