Yes it has no armrests and no headrest - my husband is a quadriplegic with no 
hand/arm movement and poor trunk control.............that is the problem with 
all these chairs.

Have you seen this one? I found it with a Google search. Apparently it costs 
about $895<>

Also, have you considered a beach wheelchair? From looking at the pictures, it 
looks like they would perform much better in sand. If you live somewhere in the 
ocean, you may be able to rent one and try it out.

Does anyone know where I can buy an off-road manual wheelchair that I can push 
through sand/gravel? All the manual chairs have those skinny tires that get 
stuck in anything and the knobby tire bikes are built for paraplegics that can 
use their hands. My husband cannot even drive his power chair so I need to push 
him along but would like to enjoy the outdoors with him. HELP! Can't afford the 
off-road power wheelchairs and my husband cannot drive them anyway.
