Better than that... a long time ago my husband suggested ABD pads because I
have a lot of vaginal discharge. I don't have as much anymore but my husband
always done the most wonderful, useful ideas and these are one of them that I
wear every day that I am up in the chair but these breakdowns (and where they
are) are so far up in the crease that I am going to have to stay in bed to keep
checking to make sure I am not wet.

Further, my live-in caregiver is going away from this Saturday until the next
Saturday and my fill in caregiver has not had to deal with this type of
breakdown before. And between 1 PM and 6 PM her daughter (age 18) who wants to
be a nurse has no experience with loans but my live-in caregiver is addressing
these things by keeping contact with my fill in caregiver that I have had since
April of 2016. And what we have been doing. This fill-in caregiver has now
gotten a new job whereby she is working toward working for a medical supply
company instead of having the flexibility of having different patients in the
area around the clock so I am looking at a new fill-in caregiver that I can
afford and they want so much money for being around-the-clock and just training
them is exhausting let alone my safety. But I am done all this before so we
will just have to do it again.

I am on the phone with Medicare right now waiting to speak to a representative
so I have 1 million things to do before my live-in caregiver goes away and I am
stuck in bed for my safety for my breakdowns but thank you for your
thoughtfulness and advice!

Have you tried a panty liner during the day? I use Always panty liners to

I wish you the best Nicki!

This new urologist of mine is so booked up that I cannot get received your down
until June 13 - 4 MONTHS later unless they get a cancellation! Because of the
constant urine leaking around my catheter... it has caused skin breakdown.

Last summer I was in bed for 2 1/2 months from skin breakdown and now I have
started again but in the worst possible place... in between my left labia at my
left thigh and in between my right labia and my right thigh... which is where
the urine likes to drool.

The skin breakdown that began in between my right labia and my right thigh
started Friday morning and the one on the left started this morning!

We are doing our best with folding 4x4 gauze pads in there during the day when
I am up in the chair and it is best to leave them open when in bed overnight
and sleeping on my side. Otherwise the gauze pads just add problems.

Thoughts are with you!

I know that the urologist gave me a ratio of white vinegar/sterile water or
saline but it was too strong and caused bladder pain so I had to lower the
quantity of vinegar. I remember now then it was one cup of sterile water to 2
tablespoons of white vinegar that we would make up before hand and then pour
them into individual little cups that the home health agency provided to bring
the sterile water or saline.

When I just went through is a total nightmare. I have now lost my urethra
thanks to what that nurse did to me at the end of January 2016. I had
urodynamics done yesterday and I am going to have to have a bladder neck
closure and a suprapubic catheter.

I was fine and dandy when I first moved here but it only takes one insect to
damage so much grain (as Elton John stated in his song/tribute to John Lennon
called "Empty Garden" or also known as "Hey Hey Johnny").

Do you happen to know ratio of vinegar to sterile water? I can google it too.

Thanks

Have you considered that most doctors, nurses and medical staff, have never
been cath'ed. Sterile Conditions, sterile water, a teaspoon of white vinegar.
Deep Breaths help relax the control muscle and 2% zilocaine is recommended
when pain is involved.

Best Wishes
