just saw this on another local news website. Amazon announced Thursday it plans to add 30,000 part-time positions in the U.S. over the next year, part of a massive hiring binge by the online retailing giant.
The part-time hiring includes 5,000 jobs in Virtual Customer Service, which would allow employees to work as a customer service agent from home. The remaining 25,000 would be at Amazon warehouses. Any part-time employees who work 20 hours or more a week are also eligible for benefits. http://www.king5.com/news/local/amazon-to-hire-5000-at-home-workers-in-massive-hiring-binge-of-30000-part-time-employees/429614716 On Fri, Apr 7, 2017 at 3:51 PM, Joan Anglin <[email protected]> wrote: > They appear to be according to the report that I read. > > > > *From:* [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] > *Sent:* 07 April, 2017 10:21 AM > *To:* [email protected] > *Subject:* Re: [QUAD-L] Amazon to hire 30,000 virtual customer service > workers | Jesse Jones - KIRO TV > > > > These jobs are not work from home are they? > > Meredith > > > > Sent from my LG Mobile > > > > ------ Original message------ > > *From: *Jim Lubin > > *Date: *Thu, Apr 6, 2017 11:50 PM > > *To: *[email protected]; > > *Subject:*[QUAD-L] Amazon to hire 30,000 virtual customer service workers > | Jesse Jones - KIRO TV > > > > http://jessejones.com/story/amazon-to-hire-30000-virtual- > customer-service-workers/ >
