In my setup I have a Logitech Harmony Hub and Amazons Alexa.
The steps I took to set it up were:
1, plug it all in
2, Download the Harmony software, install it and then run it and perform a scan and it "Harmony hub" should pop up.
3, Add it to your logitech/harmony account/completed signing your first born away then click on it and name it and add the devices to it "TV, Cablebox, DVD player, Blu-ray, etc." It will ask for the make and models of the devices you want to contol you want to add so be ready.
4, ensure that the IR blaster is pointed towards the TV.
5, Save your settings/progress.

5, Add the Alexa Harmony skill from here: Alexa Harmony Skill
6, once added to your amazon account enable the skill and follow its setup and soon you'll be able to control your stuff.

Does anyone use a hub to change your tv source from tv to hdmi?I need to use the remote, not smart tv, to make the change and don't want to buy a smart tv.glenn
