Lori, have you tried any of the Bluetooth headsets from BlueAnt? It worked very well for a few years, but I don't use it anymore, I'm now using a Samsung galaxy 5 which I'm able to operate with S Voice. Also, I can use a Samsung tablet to operate the cell phone using sidesync. I've been leaving the tablet on my lap, and the galaxy s5 stays mounted on the wall while plugged into the charger. The only downside, it only works while I'm in my home, can't travel too far away from the galaxy s5.
I switched from Verizon to TracFone, so I pay about $90 per year for 1200 minutes of time. I don't use the minutes very often, I can place and receive calls using the tablet with Google voice, which is free. Of course, I can only use Google voice if I'm in range of the Wi-Fi in my home. When I have to leave my home is the only time I remove the galaxy s5 from the wall and place it on a Ram X-Grip cell phone holder.
