Hi David,

I picked up a 631CD. I also have the guts of a 6400/180. The motherboards/edge
connectors do look similar, so I tried to do a plug in replacement. I had to
remove the PCI riser card. Then you can just swap the backpanels. However,
nothing happened. No "bong", no screen. So I put it aside for awhile. The 6400's
case was smashed up (and CDROM is broken) but it does run otherwise. The 631CD
is a road apple. So what am I missing in doing this conversion? I was thinking
there may be a problem in the power supply side. Isn't a 603e a 3.3v device?

I still think this would be a great idea (if it works). Is the edge pin
connectors common on all such Macs? Anybody point to the pinout?

John
