Greetings fellow listers; A few days ago, I was working on a Claris word processing doc and needed to move a desktop icon of a BBEdit doc. As I moved it across the claris document, the doc highlighted and an unusual cursor appeared on the text.
Realizing that there 'must' be a good reason for that, I put the BBEdit doc back where it was. Then I saved the Claris works doc. Then I tried my action again and this time dropped the icon onto the claris doc. Suddenly ...the BBEdit doc was totally inserted into the 'chosen spot' of the Claris doc. The word was..."WOOOAAAHHHH!!! that's cool!!!" SOME of you will say "fffffwwwwttttt I've done that before" but others might be firmly impressed as I was so I thought I'd pass the 'trick' along. Since I use a great deal of both programs I know I will make use of that little goodie in the future. What surprises me is that I've never fell over that one before. No doubt that act can be performed with other programs too. CHALLANGE: Tell me about YOUR cute little 'off the beaten path' tricks that make some computing activity a bit nicer, faster, easier, or better somehow. Have a good day everyone!
