Heres my 2 worth In its day, 10 years ago, the Q950, with its full 33mhz 040, 5 or 6 nubus slots, and seemingly enormous 1-2 gig drive was the king of the heap in Macdom. The Q840av was faster, but had fewer (3) nubus slots. I have a friend in Texas who still has a room full of 950s used as servers for his dialup ISP in semi-rural south Texas. Personally I would get an 840av, as it is faster and its 72 pin ram is more readily available than the ?33pin simms the 950 uses; but the 950 was the arguably pinnacle of the prePPC mac line. Specs on both available at LEM. ===== Ben Kernan pm6500 96/225/3, Mystic CC and 6 other prePPC machines Dedicated Mac user since'90 __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
