You didn't say what Quad it was, so I don't know if it will run headless or
not, but if it's one of the ones that requires a monitor to be connected,
just get a Mac-VGA adapter and put that on the monitor port after you give
the monitor back.

Barring that, you can just take a paper clip and short pins 7 and 10 on the
connector, but that's really a temporary solution.
