Did you install the original software?
I had a simmilar problem and had to find the drivers (after too much time
looking for them the person which sold me the scanner found the CD under his
pillow) but after installing could use the scanner only after launching
Photoshop and scanning from there, but my scanner is a Microtek and the
aplicattion which didn�t see the scanner was Omnipage for OCR. My Quadra 650
with spanish 7.5.5 system still doesn't find the scanner other way.
