nope. i tried running GX fonts for a while on this quad 800 (no PPC
card here - it has dreams of being an 8100 i think - joke), and i
didn't see any difference really, except annoying messages from
acrobat reader sometimes - "not gx fonts" or "gx fonts installed,
please instal non-gx..." blah blah blah.

it goes with the quickdraw gx install on the OS 8,1 CD (base, i don't
remember) but you can install it opotional on custom install.
