Thanks to those who responded with advice regarding retrieving my database.
My original post, condensed: HELP!! I have an address book / phone
directory database on my Centris. It has 500+ entries and works just fine.
I was editing this database to create a small list. After having already
deleted about 400 entries, I had another 20 or so highlighted to delete.
Instead of hitting "command-X", I hit "command-S". Big oops.

The suggestions given to me were to command-Z (edit-undo). Once you save in
ClarisWorks, you are not able to undo. The save basically cleans out the
undo. Also, you only have one undo in ClarisWorks, anyway.

Is there a disk utility somewhere that lets you find these files? My
understanding is that if you have the hard drive space, the file being saved
will be saved somewhere else, and the older version just doesn't have a link
to the directory anymore, which is why you can't retrieve it. I'm not
making a lot of sense here, but maybe someone can help me.

In order to not avoid saving other files over my database file, I have not
saved anything else on that computer.

Thanks in advance,
Claire Hart
