Had a couple of monitors shutting themselves down, one was a 21" two-page
with a bad solder somewhere (tv-repair man fixed it, not cheap). It ran
fine for some 20 minutes, then clicked and turned off. Green light still
on. When it cooled down, I could turn it back on.

The other one was a 14" high res which just shut down and never came back
up. A friend replaced a fuse, and it worked again for a while, then shut
down again. It sat idle for a year or so, then I gave it to my father along
with a Centris 610. Never shut down since...

I have a fix suggestion, picked up from a faq somewhere, I'll email it to
you offlist.
