I'd like to take my Q700 as far as I can without moving over to PPC, but I'm curious about what else I could do to it.
I have a Quaddoubler on the way and 68mb of ram (picking it up from UPS in a couple hours). I'll probably max out the vram just for the hell of it, even though it only runs OpenBSD in console mode. How about adding an L2 cache? Would BSD recognize, or utilize it? Since a Quaddoubler would already be installed would that mean I'd have to use a PDS slot cache? Would it play well with the Quaddoubler? Any suggestions for souping up this machine are welcome. -- Quadlist is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
