Hello people
This afternoon I found a Mac in a skip, so I rescued it and brought it
home.
It's a Centris 610, with an 80MB hard drive, floppy, and an (as yet)
unknown amount of RAM. The Apple specs pages tell me that it has a
64LC040 running at 20MHz. The label says it's model M1444 made in
Ireland. There's a keyboard, but no monitor and abolutely no cables.
I powered it up and it chimed, an LED lit up, and the hard disk made
the right sort of noises.
So I'd be very grateful for some more information.
- What sort of monitor does it need? It has a DB-15 connector
and (apparently) 2MB of SGRAM.
- Where can I get hold of a keyboard cable and a mouse?
- The spec says that the ethernet port is AAUI-15, as opposed to
the 10/100baseT on my PowerBook. Will that make it difficult to link
the two?
Once I get it running, I can start playing with the software (I'm
toying with the idea of trying Linux/mac68k).
regards
Chris
