Thanks, I'll pray for one tonight:-) When I was fishing for the HD wherewithall, I was more wondering about compatibility than size, which I can figure out myself :-) Being of sound mechanical mind and innovation-capable I can make something fit if I have to. Judging by the replies it seems that if the plugin configs. are the same then compatibility will not be an issue and no software will be required other than the appropriate drive setup- is that right? So that leaves: -P's all-important heat factor- -Mark's mention of the potential for747-level noise -Power supply capability Questions: Are the harnesses and plugs lying in my empty Centris 610 bay as readily (workably) plugged into a hard drive as to a CD ROM? Is a newly acquired Hewlet Packard 4020i - model C4324. "Compact disc Recordable" drive connectable to afore-mentioned harnasses in the 610 as well? In this case requiring software of course. If I had the 747 in the center bay could I then mount 2 drives? Thanks everyone, Terry -- Quadlist is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
