Steven agonizes: >Well you may still get something, you helped me before, but the starp disc >gave me a mini finder with no desk top. I need to get into the hard. I put >the system file and the finder in a folder called "hide" thinking I was >deblessing it. That was stupid I know now at least.
Better to have TRASHED the finder and renamed the system folder "hide" or "out of service" then done the install - then picked and chose what you wanted to keep from the superceeded System Folder - if I'm readin' you right? >None of these super booter disc allow me to mount the hD and rearrange the >sys files. Such a simple thing with such frustrating results! Have you got a Norton Disk called "Emergency Disk NUM 3.1" that Norton recommended I use Norton to create on floppy? Saved my bacon big time - twice it was the only way I got back in to rescue some work. Sounds like you have another active computer so check out Norton and create that disk - easy and detailed instructions. Norton 3.1.3 will do.
