By coincidence I also have a 7500, in it's third regeneration (Sonnet G-4). The Performa 476 was given to my Step Sister. It looks as though it was a legacy machine at a company running an SQL server. Some kind of Tele-Net. It had (I dumped it all) a lot of SYS ADMIN stuff in it I've never seen before. Another strange thing about this Performa, there where lots files marked DOD-NRC, some sort of, I'm guessing, electro-mechanical diagrams concerning something called a Deuterium-Tritanium Injector? No, just kidding. At least about the files. My guess is that some guy crammed this stuff in it to work on a network. Maybe he worked for a really cheap company. Maybe was just a tweaker. Who knows? With help from this list, I got it running, loaded it with a few handy older apps, Photoshop, Microsoft Word, Excel and Quicken. She works with little kids and this is all she'll need for now. It will probably run as a word processor untill the HD dies of natural causes. Like Pilot, I wash my hands of it.
