I used the 25>33MHz Overdrive from Newer Tech in my Q900 until the Daystar PowerPro cards were introduced. That's back in the days when we willingly shelled out $200 for an extra 8MHz to bring the Q900 up to the speed of a Q950! I still have the Overdrive card and the literature though I 'm not sure how much it differs from 50MHz Overdrive card you've described. Contact me off list and I'll be glad to send you copies of the literature I have if that'll help.
AL >>>>>>>> From: "Robert J. Johansen" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: Info re: Newer Tech "Overdrive" 50 mHz CPU for Q950 I recently received a gadget called an "Overdrive" 50 mHz CPU card I won on eBay. The seller told me that it was meant for the Quadra 950. However, there was not much in the way of documentation included with it, just a floppy with Speedometer and a Newer Tech Cache control panel. It is similar in appearance to Sonnet's QuadDoubler, but it has a several more chips on the card, as well as an integral heatsink/fan unit on the CPU itself. The CPU is a 40 mHz '040. Does anyone have any experience with this thing? Does anyone know where I might be able to find some documentation from the now-defunct Newer Tech? <<<<<<<<<< -- Quadlist is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
