Just for the record, Quadras can run a non-multiscan VGA fine, if the
monitor supports 640 x 480 at 60 Herz, or 800 x 600 at 56 Hz, & the adaptor
supports that setting. I've done it with a 650 on several occasions...it's
just that, generally speaking, only a multi-scan monitor, among those made
specifically for PCs, will run the Mac-specific 640 x 480 at 67 Hz, & 832 x
624 at 75 Hz.
Now, whether you'd actually *want* to do that at such a low scan rate, is
another question...at 60 Herz or under, your eyes are in for a whole lotta
hurtz...
