Darn it, you are so right! So the pickle posts here as well as the compact list.
Well my experience with Compact Macs fooled me - I didn't check the pram battery
because I expected to be able to boot without it. After my post yesterday I
found a reference to the LC475 that suggested that the video would not start
without a good battery. Last night I checked it with a voltmeter and it was
dead, so I tried the "turn-on, turn-off, turn-on" trick, and it booted just
fine! :-) It seems to have 20Mb of ram, and an FPU. I understand that this must
mean that the CPU has been upgraded from a 68LC040 to a full 68040.
As you know from the compact list, I also scored a M1025 two-page monochrome 21"
monitor! Can I use this with the LC475? Do I need a special video board? Anybody
know where I can get more tech info on this monitor (pinouts at least)?
