I have a performa 630cd with a full 68040 CPU and 36mb of memory. The problem I have is that I'm using Excel 5.0 (which comes with the last version of Office that runs on a 68k machine) and I'm trying to load a PC created spreadsheet into it. Everytime I load it it imports, and actually displays on the screen then as soon as its done it crashes out with an Error Type 1. I've tried to "Save-As" the spreadsheet in different Excel formats. I've tried changing Excel's memory partition (up to 32mb). I've looked all over the Internet for any upgrades or patches. I've applied a patch to OS 8.1 to expand the Finder's memory usage. Nothing seems to be working for me. Anyone have any ideas?
